In her new project from an arboreal point of view Sarah Jost have among other things thought about the slow lives of trees and some of the man made structures that we associate with the forest. The Latin word arboreal refers to beings living in or among trees but also to objects and structures that reassembles or relate to trees. From an arboreal point of view takes on the wide meaning of the word where it is not just the viewpoint of the trees that are presented but a larger perspective where the trees are the common denominator.
Jost work with installation and sculpture, with elements of text, drawing and video. Methodically she re-use fragments of earlier works and found material in combination with new ones.
