Joy Forum is a kind of anti-statement and anti-architecture in confrontation with the surrounding building.
A gallery where we can handle and disarm any overwhelming feelings of institutional powerlessness.
Joy Forum presents Sara Plantefève-Castryck.
Sara Plantefève-Castryck (b.1990, Belgium) graduated from Bergen Academy for Art and Design in
2018. Her work investigates the idea of a multi-layered simplicity by experimenting with the use of pat-
terns and color in reference to the audience and architectural spaces. She often work with site-specific
installations where she plays with optical illusions and where she encourage the viewer to perceive
and move through space in different ways. Her work exists in a space between drawing, sculpture and
installation.
Currently she is exploring the medium of light as a sculptural medium to investigate our experience
and psychologically respond to illumination and colour. At the same time she is Investigating new
ways of interacting with the audience.
