Dear Police Officer:
My name is Nico Lillo. I am an art student in HFBK, Hamburg, Germany. I have sent you this
postcard painting as a donation to the police station and also as an example of a series of
works that I would like to show in any part of your building.
I believe that police departments are nowadays the perfect place for a contemporary art show
because i can find a lot of similarities between them and art galleries and museums:
spaces designed to establish specific judgments for unlimited acts. Tutorial places where the
personal interpretation, the instinct / behave and just a matter of taste is trained to became a
friendly and disciplined event.
What I mean is that art galleries are little and well decorated Guantanamos.
