Foredrag med kuratoren og skribenten Mark Beasley i forbindelse med hans utstilling “O Superman to Girls, Tricky…”

Mark Beasly is Curator of Media and Performance Art at The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. Formerly a curator at the British Council in London and Creative Time in New York, Beasley served as a curator of Performa, a multidisciplinary non-profit arts organization dedicated to live performance. While there, he commissioned and curated projects by artists such as Mike Kelley, Lawrence Weiner, Arto Lindsay, Mark Leckey, Florian Hecker, Heather Phillipson and Frances Stark. He has also served as a curatorial advisor to the inaugural Okayama Art Summit (2016), as a guest curator for the Sunday Sessions Greater New York performance program at MoMA PS1 (2015) and as a curator of a series of performances held in conjunction with the Mike Kelley retrospective at MoMA/PS1 (2011). In addition, he founded the Malcolm McLaren Award for Performa.

The exhibition O Superman… presents a series of seminal vocal performances, artists, and audio/visual artworks, installed and enacted across all of the Kunsthall galleries and as part of a live programme in Landmark. Read more on www.kunsthall.no
