Utstillingen a short story of speed presenterer verket med samme tittel. Verket er satt sammen av tolv elementer, hvorav seks er kuttet til i syntetisk og naturlig gummi, for hånd og digitalt. De resterende elementene er avtrykk av føtter, hestesko, sykkel- og bilhjulspor laget med svart blekk på plastikk.
Lúcia Prancha (født 1984, Coruche) bor i Los Angeles og Bergen. Hun er utdannet fra CalArts i 2015, samt fullført bachelorgrad fra Lisboa i 2009 og mastergrad fra São Paulo i 2012. Prancha utforsker spenningen mellom estetikk, persepsjon og politikk ved å revurdere historiske og sosiale episoder gjennom skulptur, video og trykksaker. Hennes arbeider er blitt vist ved Serralves Foundation i Porto; Galeria Leme i São Paulo; Galeria Baginski i Lisboa. I 2013 ble hun tildelt to-årig stipend fra stiftelsen Calouste Gulbenkian, og fra Luso-American Foundation of Development (FLAD). Filmen SEBASTIAN, THE GHOST ble i 2016 vist ved Les Rencontres Internationales Nouveau Cinema et Art Contemporain in Paris og Haus der Kulturen der Welt i Berlin, samt ved den 24. internasjonale filmfestivalen Curtas Vila do Conde. I 2017 var hun gjestekunstner ved Jan van Eyck Akademie i Maastricht.

The exhibition a short story of speed presents a work with the same title composed of twelve elements. Six of the elements are hand- and digitally cut in synthetic and natural rubber. The remaining prints of feet, horseshoes, bike and car wheels are made with glossy black ink on plastic.
Lúcia Prancha (born 1985, Coruche) holds an MFA from CalArts in 2015, after completing BA studies in Lisbon in 2009 and MA in São Paulo in 2012. Lúcia explores the tensions between aesthetics, perception and politics rethinking historical and social episodes through sculpture, video and printed matter. Her work has been exhibited at the Serralves Foundation, Porto, Portugal; Galeria Leme, São Paulo, Brazil and Galeria Baginski, Lisbon, Portugal. In 2013, she was the recipient of a two-year scholarship from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Luso-American Foundation for Development (FLAD). In 2016, her film SEBASTIAN, THE GHOST was screened at Les Rencontres Internationales Nouveau Cinema et Art Contemporain in Paris and, at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; and the 24th Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, Portugal. In 2017, Prancha was in residency at the Jan van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht, NDC. Prancha lives between Los Angeles and Bergen.
