Velkommen til presentasjon av Pamfletts første kunstneropphold! Jessica Williams er erfaren innen både zines, bøker og risograph, og er invitert til Pamflett for å arbeide med den nye boken sin «Å Finne Stemmen»!
Lørdag 14 oktober kl 14 er det åpent studio med kunstneren og få innblikk i prosessen av boka. Litt snacks og Jessicas hjemmelagde drikke blir det og!
Den ferdige boka blir lansert på årets Bergen Art Book Fair, og fra 21–29 oktober stilles boka og hele prosessen ut i Pamfletts visningsrom.
Prosjektet er gjennomført med støtte fra Norsk Kulturråd og Bergen Kommune.
Pamflett is proud and happy to present our first resident at the Riso workshop, Oslo-based artist Jessica Williams!
The residency will last for two weeks where Williams will make a brand new book with the Pamflett Riso machine. Saturday October 14th at 14:00, Jessica will present her book concept and process so far in the studio at Magnus Barfot gate 25. There will also be a light serving of snacks and Jessica’s homemade drinks.
Saturday October 21st her finished book will launch at Bergen Art Book Fair, and an exhibition of the process will be presented at Pamflett. Exhibition will be open from October 21–29.
This residency is made possible with support from Norsk Kulturråd & Bergen Kommune.
About the project:
“Å Finne Stemmen” (Finding One’s Voice) is a collection of texts and images tragicomically describing what it was to integrate and learn Norwegian as a creative, non-white immigrant. Also included in the book is an “association game” she made, played by 10 participants, all living in Norway but coming from places ranging from Sweden and Germany to Ethiopia and Jordan.
