Inside, outside and 2mts apart

October 18, 2020

In the workshop Inside, outside, and 2mts apart, dancer Noam Eidelman Shatil invites us to explore and appropriate the space at Hordaland Kunstsenter through a series of physical and sensory exercises that will allow us to experiment and engage with the architecture, the rooms, and the significance of being at an empty art gallery finding new narratives and stories. The workshop will guide our bodies into finding closeness and intimacy keeping distance and restraint.

Each session will run for 90 minutes and will end with a conversation around the table where we can have refreshments and talk about our shared experience.

There is a limited capacity of max 8 participants per workshop. Sign up necessary at

Noam Eidelman Shatil was born in Israel. After graduating from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, she joined KCDC and later on the Batsheva Ensemble, touring nationally and internationally. In 2012 she began teaching Gaga. She later relocated to Berlin, teaching in local studios, renowned dance companies, and festivals in the world while working as a freelance artist. She received her Yoga teacher certificate in Rishikesh, India, in 2015. She joined the Norwegian national dance company, Carte Blanche, in 2016.

This workshop is a part of the mediation program Translating Togetherness for Hordaland Kunstsenter curated by Daniela Ramos Arias. This is a mediation model inspired by the work of collective La Hervidera, whos work researches the cognitive possibilities of art, and uses the body as a physical approach to learning through experience.
