Utstillingen inntroduserer unge iranske kunstnere født etter den islamske revolusjonen 1978/1979. Samtidskunst i Iran søker ofte sin kulturelle identitet i tidligere dynastier og historiske prosesser fra før den islamske revolusjonen.
I utstillingen Beyond the Exhibit står nåtiden og fremtiden sentralt. Temaer som etterspill av Iran-Irak-krigen eller de virkelige levekårene under den islamske republikk. Det er i disse temaene kunstnerne søker etter sin identitet.

The exhibition introduces young Iranian artists born after the Islamic Revolution of 1978/1979. The Contemporary art in Iran often seeks its cultural identity in past dynasties and historical processes from before the Islamic Revolution. The present and the future are on view here with topics such as aftermatch of the Iran-Iraq war or the real living conditions in an Islamic republic, in these artist search for their identity.
