Årlige, månedlige, ukentlige, daglig blir mennesker over hele verden utsatt for luftangrep.
Teknologien er i stadig utvikling, men effekten er den samme.
(computer basert 3-kanaler video, mixed media installasjoner)

“Unending Lightning” (2015–) is ca 6.5 hour long work in progress, composed of three large video projections representing a cartography of the global history of aerial bombardments. It combines art and historiography, giving rise to artful investigation, representation, construction and communication of the story.
The work has an open structure which is updated based on current findings or data that have been forgotten, de-classified or recently revealed. Owing to this situation, a space in the installation has been created where research “feeds” the work and where viewers can provide information on the subject, information that will be verified, documented and incorporated into the work. It is therefore an open-ended work-in-progress in ongoing interaction with the historical investigation, which the piece will produce for its own growth over the course of the show. The project is divided into three chapters. The first part extends from 1912 to 1945, the year that the first atomic bomb was dropped. The second chapter continues until 1989, ending with conclusion of the Cold War and the fall of the Iron Curtain. The third chapter comprises the subsequent time period, running to the present, a time when military demonstrations of power and “progress” are increasingly being determined by remote-controlled aerial attacks.
Most chilling is the realization of the incessant—unstoppable—continuity of the cycle of violence and its impact in the last 100 years plus, largely facilitated by technology. Yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, human beings all over the world have been victim to aerial bombings.
