Torsdagsturer og lørdagsturer tar utgangspunkt i den typiske omvisningen på et galleri eller museum. Deltagerne er invitert med på turer, skreddersydde for å undersøke spesifikke tema som behandles av Bergen Assembly 2019. Sammen med formidler Daniela Ramos Arias vil deltagerne følge en planlagt rute, der de vil få oppleve og diskutere enkeltarbeider og spekulere om mulige sammenhenger mellom dem.
Formålet med denne måten å holde omvisning på er å bryte med konvensjonene og begrensningene ved formell formidling og unngå at kunnskaps bare gjengis. Formidleren vil tilrettelegge for en tilgjengelig og komfortabel arena, der deltagernes stemmer har en sentral betydning og blir hørt.
Deltagerne på Bergen Assembly vil gjeste enkelte av turene. Sammen med formidleren vil kunstnere, aktivister, kuratorer og andre forme programmet og tilby eget perspektiv, meninger og erfaringer til gruppen – rett og slett vise Bergen Assembly fra «opphavspersonens» perspektiv. Etter hver tur samles alle igjen på Belgin til kaffe og kake. Rundt bordet har vi muligheten til å samle tankene og reflektere rundt opplevelsene vi har hatt, sammen og hver for oss.
Saturday and Thursday walks take as a starting point the idea of the guided tour at a gallery or museum. Participants are invited to join specially devised walks that draw upon the concepts of Bergen Assembly 2019. Together with mediator Daniela Ramos Arias, participants follow a choreographed route, looking at and discussing individual works and speculating on their interconnections.
The aim of the programme is to break with the conventions and constraints of formal mediation and avoid knowledge reproduction. The mediator will provide an approachable and comfortable space for the participants’ voices to be active and heard.
Guests from the Bergen Assembly team, core group and contributors will join the mediator in co-hosting some of these walks, offering their perspective, opinion and experience to the group and allowing the possibility to listen and learn to the story from the perspective of the ´maker´. At the end of each walk, we will gather at Belgin for coffee and cake. Sitting together around the table, we will have the chance to gather our thoughts, collectively or individually, reflecting upon our experience.
